Home Truths: Why women why now?
The impact of homelessness on women and families
Ask yourself do you know where your colleague, friend or family member is sleeping tonight?
Home Truths will discuss the impact of homelessness on women and families, why this is often invisible and what we can do to challenge perceptions and raise awareness.
Many women and their children are living with no fixed address or a secure home.
Behind the Door, a partnership between Museum of the Home and the London Homeless Collective focuses on women and families.
With perceptions of homelessness being mainly around men and rough sleeping, the reality of women and homelessness is invisible.
Chaired by Aditi Anand, Head of Creative Content at the Migration Museum
- Camilla Field from the Marylebone Project
- Eleanor Greenhalgh from Solace Women's Aid
- Lucy Littlewood, director of partnerships at the Museum of the Home
The talk will last about 60 minutes with questions at the end.
