Where we are
Situated on the edge of central London, our 300 year-old Georgian almshouses are surrounded by the vibrant east London streets of Hoxton and Shoreditch.
Ceremony and reception options
We have a range of spaces perfect for your big day, including lawns and gardens, and heritage and contemporary spaces.
You can hire multiple areas for your wedding making it ideal for different parts of the day, as well as for those all-important wedding photos.
Why not host an intimate ceremony in our Pavilion, followed by drinks in the Herb Garden and dinner in the Garden Atrium?
Availability and booking
The Museum is licensed to hold wedding ceremonies for the first time this year, so our diary is delightfully free!

Wedding packages
We offer a number of ready-made packages for your special day. However we are always happy to discuss other options. Contact us by email hires@museumofthehome.org.uk for more information.
Micro wedding
Following the most up to date covid-19 guidelines, we can offer micro wedding packages for just your nearest and dearest. Based on a two-hour hire, take your choice of the Pavilion, Studio or Georgian Suite and we'll sort your ceremony, fizz and flowers in one easy package.
Garden wedding
Tie the knot with a ceremony surrounded by greenery in the Pavilion, opening out into the Herb Garden for an intimate drinks reception, and finally moving to the Garden Atrium for dinner and dancing with up to 250 guests.
Museum wedding
A ceremony in the Chapel, followed by a drinks reception in Reading Room, with private access to the Museum galleries. Finishing off with dinner and dancing in the Garden Atrium for up to 250 guests.
Studio wedding
Hold an intimate ceremony in the Pavilion, then let your guests explore the Gardens Through Time with a glass of bubbly in hand, ending up in the Studio for dinner and dancing for up to 200 guests.
