Turning the camera onto herself, Singaporean filmmaker Quen Wong draws from her experiences to disrupt the silence around anti-trans discrimination. Counting down to her wedding day, she traces her journey of finding love and community as a trans woman, sharing intimate moments with her fiancé and family. From the glory days of Bugis street to the present-day fight for queer rights in Singapore, Quen eloquently chronicles the untold stories of trans women from three different generations, posing critical questions about the survival of the LGBTQI+ community under a conservative government.

Marking this year’s LGBT+ History Month, Queer East presents a series of documentaries that explore the lives of queer Asian women and non-binary people around the world.
